STEAM Implementation Programme for Grade 5

A study by the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) predicts that many of the highest demanded jobs today will disappear by 2030 and be replaced by jobs directly or indirectly related to STEAM fields.

On the other hand, we are only 8 years away from achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) outlined in the National Development Agenda for 2030 as adopted by Pakistan in 2016.

Keeping all this in mind, THE EDUCATORS introduced the STEAM Implementation Programme for Grade 5. The following educational resources were combined to develop this programme:

  • Single National Curriculum
  • Schemes of Work (SOW)
  • STEAM Approach
  • Sustainable Development Goals

STEAM is an approach of teaching and learning that combines Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts, and Math. Aiming to increase critical thinking and problem-solving skills through unique hands-on learning opportunities to prepare students for success in the technology-driven world of tomorrow.

The STEAM Implementation Programme for Grade 5 is a key step towards empowering our students to find sustainable solutions for their immediate problems. It is one of the only ways to create long-term change in the lifestyles of our future generation, eventually leading us to achieve our Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
