The panel will explore how teaching must evolve in the age of artificial intelligence while preserving its human essence. Discussions will focus on nurturing critical thinking, creativity and emotional intelligence skills that AI cannot replace. Panellists will address the need to move beyond rote learning and uniform instruction toward personalized pathways. They will also highlight the importance of integrating digital literacy, ethical awareness and adaptability, empowering students to use AI for innovation. Central to the dialogue is the teacher’s evolving role as a facilitator of inquiry and purposeful learning.

Mr. Ali Raza, a Civil Engineer with a Master’s in Environmental Sciences, has built an impactful career spanning over 32 years across the corporate, development, and public sectors. With over 19 years at Beaconhouse, he has served as Regional Director (Pakistan & Malaysia) and Project Director for The Educators.
He was appointed Advisor to the Prime Minister of Pakistan on Education Reforms, where he played a key role in shaping national education policy.
Mr. Raza is a member of the Chief Minister Punjab’s Advisory Committee on Education, Chairman BOG PEIMA, and a member of the BOG TEVTA. His visionary leadership continues to drive innovation and meaningful transformation in the education sector.

Ms. Shahnaz Wazir Ali, Sitara-e-Imtiaz, is an esteemed educationist and social sector development specialist with a 53-year career. She has served as President of SZABIST University since 2013 and has been a Trustee of the Education Trust Nasra School since 1965, championing affordable education for marginalized communities. A two-time Member of the National Assembly and former Special Assistant to the Prime Minister, she has also held roles with the World Bank and as Minister of State for Education. Her extensive board service includes IBA, Sindh HEC, HEC, BISP, SPDC, WAF, UNESCO, and the National Curriculum Council.

Dr. Ismat Abbas is an Assistant Professor at IBA, Karachi, holding a PhD in Family Science and Human Development and a Master’s in Leadership in Education from Montclair State University, USA. Her research explores immigration challenges faced by marginalized communities, particularly Pakistani immigrant women, and cyberbullying among teenagers. With over 15 years of experience in O and A Levels education, including as Section Coordinator at DHA School, she brings strong leadership expertise. Since 2022, she has taught at university level in the USA and Pakistan. A Stanford Life Design Program–trained coach, she actively mentors school leaders through data-driven leadership and research training.

Ms. Abeer Fatima Rizvi is an educationist and ICF-trained coach with over a decade of experience in educational leadership, professional development, and school transformation. As General Manager Content & Delivery at FranklinCovey Education Pakistan, she partners with more than 500 schools nationwide to drive innovation, improve teaching and learning, and strengthen leadership capacity.
Ms. Rizvi holds a Master’s in Educational Leadership and Management from the University of Warwick. Her work centers on empowering educators, enhancing student outcomes, and fostering wellbeing across school communities.
Ms. Arooj Abbas is the Chef-Owner of Eatalia, bringing over twenty years of experience in the culinary industry. She leads multiple food ventures, works with OD and is in the process of launching new hospitality projects that reflect her commitment to quality, creativity, and innovation in food entrepreneurship.
She has an extensive portfolio of noteworthy clients and culinary initiatives, and her media presence includes hosting talk shows and serving as a chef on various television channels across Pakistan. Through her work in kitchens, studios, and entrepreneurial spaces, she continues to shape dynamic food experiences and contribute to Pakistan’s evolving culinary landscape.
In an era defined by rapid change, Pakistan’s education sector faces a pressing question: are we collectively preparing students for the future, or are fragmented visions creating more confusion than clarity? This discussion will unpack what it truly means to be “future-ready” within our national context, exploring whether policies, curricula and classroom realities align to develop adaptable, ethical and critical thinkers. The panel brings together voices from schools, publishing, higher education and public policy to debate how coherence can replace confusion. It will explore how stakeholders can move from rhetoric to collaboration, ensuring that every learner gains the mindset and competencies to thrive in an evolving world.

Ms. Fauzia Adnan holds a Master’s degree in Education Planning and Management and HRM from Alabama State University, USA, along with IB qualifications from Singapore. She is a seasoned educationist with extensive experience in leading institutions such as Beaconhouse, The City School, LGS, LACAS and Fazaia Schools. Throughout her career, she has served in key leadership roles—including Director Admin, Pedagogical Lead, Principal, HM, Head of College Counselling, Director School Evaluation and Manager Academics—while specializing in effective communication, planning, resource management and school community building.

Ms. Shahpara Rizvi has over 25 years of experience in education across public and private sectors. She has held leadership roles, including Director for Sindh at the National Education Foundation and Director Education Pakistan at the Institute of Cost and Management Accountants. She has contributed significantly to educational reforms and institutional strengthening in Sindh. Ms. Rizvi has represented Pakistan internationally at conferences in Oxford and Paris. A Chevening Scholar, she holds a Master's in Economics from Pakistan and a Postgraduate Diploma from the University of Exeter, UK.

Mr. Arshad Saeed Husain has served as Managing Director of Oxford University Press Pakistan since 2018, bringing over 30 years of leadership experience in multinational organizations. He has played a key role in shaping educational policy dialogues and aligning publishing efforts with Pakistan’s National Curriculum. Arshad has championed the development of high-quality, culturally relevant learning materials and strengthened large-scale teacher professional development programs that have benefited thousands of educators nationwide. He has also helped advance literary culture through the Karachi and Islamabad Literature Festivals. An alumnus of the London School of Economics, he actively contributes to business councils and social initiatives.

Mr. Wajid Jawad is a distinguished industrialist and public servant with over 40 years of experience in leadership, business advocacy, and national development. He has held prominent roles including Federal Minister of State and Chairman of the Export Promotion Bureau, and Chairman & CEO of Associated Industries since 1972. He serves as President of Anjuman-e-Taraqqi Urdu Pakistan and is a member of the Senate and Syndicate at FUUAST. A strong voice in international trade forums, he has also pioneered digital Urdu initiatives and published pocket-size editions of renowned poets for free public distribution
Ms. Tasneem Karbalai is an experienced educational leader with a strong background in curriculum development, teacher training, and academic operations. Over the years, she has led diverse teams and initiatives across various curricula, consistently improving student outcomes and supporting the professional growth of educators.
